I grew up in Sebastopol, CA, which is known for Gravenstein Apples. Each April there’s an Apple Blossom Festival and it’s fun to see if the trees are full of their popcorn like blooms in time for it. Additionally blue birds arrive on our property in spring and make use of the bird houses my husband has built. This painting is a celebration of the arrival of spring and of apples to come in the fall. It reminds me that each season of life has its own special gifts.
This original painting is acrylic on board, framed, 16in x 12in, x 1.25in deep. The frame is the color of the tree and 3/8 in wide.
