This painting is about the path before us, and that we just must take step by step. Sometimes we wish for someone’s else’s path, but just like our own, we can’t see the highs and lows until we’re upon them. The wildflowers represent the unexpected gifts along the way. The reference photo was taken at Helen Putnam Park in Petaluma, CA in spring.
