Water Lily at Sunset 18in x 36in-Original!

My husband and I love to vacation in Hawaii. On one trip he captured the water lilies glowing in the light of the setting sun at the place we were staying. My painting instructor gave us an assignment to do something in the style of a famous artist. I pulled out his photo, and this painting is my attempt to paint a large flower like Georgia O’Keefe. It was fun to try to capture the glowing petals and let the viewer be consumed by the beauty instead of it being a part of the whole.

This painting is 18in x 36in x 1.5, and painted on all sides.
