Lights in the Dark 24in x 12in – Acrylic on Canvas, Original!

On one vacation on the Big Island of Hawaii, my husband got sick. Unfortunately, he didn’t feel up to doing much. One night he had the energy to take a walk out to the coastline to get some fresh air. The sun had set, and lights were coming on. I was caught by the beauty of the sunlight and welcoming lights beginning to shine in the coming dark. When life is hard, it can feel difficult to see the Light. Painting this reminded me of how even in the dark, light can still be found and celebrated.

This original is acrylic on canvas, 24in x 12in x 1.5in, (off the wall), painted around the sides.
