River of Hope 20in x 16in- Original!

Hope Valley, CA is spectacular in the fall. The aspen trees turn from green to gold to caramel. We loved visiting there and taking lots of photos for me to paint. Capturing this one was fun. The rocks made me think of all the mountain streams I’ve crossed by hopping from rock to rock. While painting this I discovered some encouraging words in Psalm 84:5&7, “Blessed are those whose strength is in You, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. They go from strength to strength…” Thankfully there is One who can give us the strength we need to make it through the streams of life. That gives me hope.
