State of Grace, 12in x 12in, Original!

During my fight with metastatic breast cancer, pink became an important color. I had a pink wig I wore to my treatment appointments to show my fighting spirit and sense of humor. When my screening showed that the tumor had shrunk to point it couldn’t be found, we celebrated by buying a rose for our garden. What color? Pink of course 🙂 and its name is “State of Grace.” I don’t believe I deserve to be healed, yet I was. Two years after treatment my oncologist used the term “cured” in conversation. I was floored, and painted this as I processed my gratitude at getting to celebrate my cancer free status.
